Race for Education

Race for Education is an important school fund raising event at Penn View Christian School. As the word Race suggests, this fund raiser helps us Raise Assets for Christian Education. Students walk, jog or run around our ¼ mile track as many times as possible in a 1-hour period. Each student raises funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax deductible gift based on the laps completed, or a flat donation, as the donor prefers. The proceeds from this event have benefited the student's educational experience along with tithing the funds for special needs, locally or internationally. Please consider sponsoring one of our students and help "keep our school running"!

Race for Education 2011
Tuesday, November 1, 2011
Hi everyone. Well who would have thought that we would be dealing with snow at Race for Ed. Unfortunately the track is covered in snow and ice and we do not want the students walking or running on that – unless we started calling it “Skating for Education”! We have decided to hold the race out in front of the school with the students running laps around the bus lanes. They will be shorter laps (about half the distance of a lap around the track) but they are still running laps and racing for education.
Times remain the same:
9:00 – 10:00 am – Kindergarten, First, & Second grades
10:15 – 11:15 am – Third, Fourth, & Fifth grades
1:45 – 2:45 pm - Middle School
We will still have music and water for the students. Parking/deliveries will not be affected, as we will be on the top of the lot. We will have the gator as the pace car showing the students where to run and have some sections blocked with cones for the students safety.
Thanks everyone for your flexibility. See you on November 1.
